A terrible accident occurred at 22.40 in Khust district, Transcarpathian region: "Volkswagen" ran into a tractor trailer: two dead, two in hospital, as uzhgorod.in previously reported.
On the road from the village of Velyatino towards Shayan, at the bend to the village of Modorosh, the car "Volkswagen Polo" moving on high speed crashed into the tractor trailer loaded with hay that was in its lane.
According to Zakarpattya online, two passengers of "Volkswagen" died and another of its passengers and both drivers were injured and taken to hospital.
One of the accident victims is a known endocrinologist, former chief physician of the Children’s Hospital Oksana Peredriy, born in 1954. Also, the passenger born in 1976 was killed. The passenger car was driven by Oksana Peredriy’s husband, born in 1943, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, Honored Economist of Ukraine Oleksandr Peredriy. He is now in intensive care with a diagnosis of "severe open head injury with (severe condition)." Also, another passenger, born in 1974, resident of Khust is in the hospital, diagnosed with "open head injury, concussion, broken ribs, broken arm, trauma (severe condition)."
The tractor was driven by a citizen born in 1948, resident of the village of Modorosh. He has closed head injury, concussion of the brain, chest trauma.
