On Narodna Square, the fate of which bothers many citizens, the work is in full swing (albeit against the wishes of the community). Most recent news: a valuable stone – granite curbs – has disappeared from the square.
We remind that the area of Narodna Square is a gem of neoclassicism and possibly the only architecturally coherent district of the city. Or rather, it was. Because works on the square, which involve changing the lines and proportions of the parterre, are in full swing. Now, they are also spoiling the square with cheap materials. Instead of the old (and perdurable) granite curbs, they are putting cheap concrete slabs. I wonder, if they are just trying to save or it is a part of the so-called "improvement", or rather spoiling of the most integral square in the regional center. Recall, the reconstruction of the square will cost over three million hryvnias. Also, the question arises – where did the curbs of valuable stone go?.. So far we have not been able to find representatives of the "Perepilka" company, which, as you know, performs works on the monument of architecture, and to hear the answer…
