Criminal proceeding has been initiated over intentional incitement of ethnic hatred in Transcarpathia. This is stated on the Facebook page of the Transcarpathian Prosecutor’s Office:
"Under the procedural control of the Uzhgorod local prosecutor’s office, the Uzhgorod department of the National Police registered a criminal investigation into the intentional incitement of ethnic hatred (Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It has been established that on the night of 19th to 20th of October, 2018, unidentified persons put up posters with provocative content on the territory of several villages in Transcarpathian region.
The persons involved in the commission of this crime are being identified.
Further pre-trial investigation continues."
