The Transcarpathian Choir will present Czechs Ukrainian culture

November 6-7, in the Czech Vysocina region there will be the days of Ukrainian culture, the press service of the regional council reported. This event is held as part of this year’s program of cooperation between Transcarpathian region and Vysocina region.

Folk art of Transcarpathia will be presented by the Transcarpathian Academic Folk Choir of Ukraine led by Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Nataliya Petiy-Potapchuk.  The program of concerts that will take place in Jihlava and other cities of Vysocina includes not only Ukrainian song and dancing culture, but also the art of all other ethnic minorities that have long inhabited Transcarpathian land. The repertoire features Ukrainian, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, German and Russian folk songs and dances, which the choir presents in Ukraine and abroad.

During this celebration of art in Vysocina region, there will also be meetings of members of local governments delegations and artistic groups of Transcarpathia with representatives of local communities of the partner region.
