Uzhgorod bypass road. On March 19 road workers repaired some major holes on this stretch, as they said, "with a mixture of middlings and rubble." Yet, that "repair" was temporary. Some pits re-emerged on the same day, near others the clay track remained even the next day.
The Road Service explained that such emergency methods are used to protect drivers and their cars from falling into pits that may damage the wheels. However, later on the bypass road they would apply more effective methods of dealing with pits – asphalt-concrete mix, the Road Service promise.
All pits at the Uzhgorod bypass road, naturally, did not "fit" in our photos.
