First, in Borzhavske, on February 4, at 11.00, the Pontifical Mass on the reburial of Bishop Ivan (Marhitych) will begin. After that, funeral service will be held, and then the reburial – the RISU correspondent Volodymyr Moroz informs.
Archbishop Marhitych is now buried in St. Mary’s Church, which was built on his initiative and through his efforts. Until now, his mortal remains have been resting in an underground room of the temple, but there is a problem of excessive humidity there. Therefore, after the repair of the temple, a special sarcophagus was made under the sanctuary, where the remains of the bishop will find their final rest, and it will have a convenient access.
