Writers from all over Ukraine gathered in Transcarpathia. All are congratulating the members of Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine on the occasion, the seventieth anniversary.
For two days, the festival "Carpathian Vatra", that the regional writers launched back in 2008, is taking place in Uzhgorod.
The purpose is to support and develop creative relationships between Transcarpathian authors and colleagues from other regions as well writers of the Ukrainian diaspora in neighboring countries. Last night, in the hall of the Transcarpathian puppet theater "Bavka". the opening of the festival took place. The festive literary event was attended by a correspondent of the Uzhgorod.in. Officials and writers from other cities of Ukraine congratulated the Union members on the occasion.
For today, writers planned poetic recital "Star of the Carpathians in the sky of Ukraine" from 12.00 to 14.00, summing up of the festival "Carpathian Vatra" at 15.00. The meeting with writers will take place at the regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine (Uzhgorod, Zhupanatska st., 3):
