Deputies of the Regional Council will ask the government to support the preservation of the ecosystem of the Tisa River valley in the border areas of Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, the Press Service of the Regional Council informs.
The regional deputies during the 12th session of the Regional Council are asked to consider the draft decision "On the Appeal of the Transcarpathian Regional Council on the need to amend the National Program "Drinking Water of Ukraine" for 2011 – 2020", and to send it to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine.
According to the authors of the draft decision, that is, the department of infrastructure, development and maintenance of the local public road network and housing and communal services of the Regional State Administration, its adoption will positively influence the implementation of the draft decisions of local governments for the construction of a wastewater treatment system in rural settlements, reconstruction and expansion of the existing sewage networks and treatment facilities, which will have a great positive impact on eco-system of the Tisa River valley in the border area of Ukraine.
