As a result of the attack, two camp emloyees were injured. Five attackers were detained, they are being identified. Criminal proceeding has been opened under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Yesterday, January 10, at 08.35, the Rakhiv police department received from an unknown person an information that in the village of Yasinya, in the territory of a tourist camp, unidentified males wearing camouflage clothing using weapons had started a brawl with the camp staff.
A company of the special purpose police forces of Transcarpathian region arrived at the scene.
It was established that, as a result of hooliganism, two employees of the tourist center, namely the tourist center security guards, had suffered injuries, namely cut wounds, multiple bruises of the head, a broken leg. The victims were taken to hospital for medical assistance.
The 5 persons, that had committed hooligan actions, were detained by local residents and security. The detainees are now being identified.
This incident was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations. The attackers’ actions are classified under Part 4 of Art. 296 (hooliganism) and Part 1 of Art. 263 (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Currently, investigators are taking all the necessary measures to establish all circumstances of the criminal offense and to identify the persons involved in it.
The investigation is ongoing.
