In Transcarpathia, there is a special group that deals with reports of untraceable disappearance, kidnapping and capture of citizens in the area of the anti-terrorist operation.
This working group consists of employees of the Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathia. The policemen help individuals, whose family members, relatives or friends, are missing in the ATO area or are suspected of being missing. The policemen explain the procerdure for filing of the application, make DNA profile and check against the records of the National Police of Ukraine.
The policemen of the group to search for missing people ask citizens to report promptly on cases of loss of contact with their relatives. Delays or turning to private companies or public organizations can seriously slow down the search, and the efficiency in such matters is very important. The police databases are much larger and more reliable.
The Main Office of the National Police in Transcarpathian region provides contacts of persons who will help with the search for the Transcarpathians missing in the ATO area:
– Acting Deputy Chief of the Investigation Department, Police Major Volodymyr Maha (tel. 095-165-42-24);
