Yesterday, around 10 pm, Uzhgorod police officers received a report of a threat with weapon in a cafe on Nezalezhnist embankment. Investigative team and a crew of patrol police arrived at the scene.
As it turned out, a 39-year-old patron of the bar, a resident of Uzhgorod district, refused to pay for the drink. The waitress made a remark to the irrepressible client, to which he responded aggressively – took out a gun and put it to the waitress’s stomach…
Fortunately, the police arrived in time and nobody was injured. The gun with 6 cartridges (traumatic weapon) was seized and sent for examination.
A criminal proceeding over this incident was initiated under Part 1 of Art. 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives). The pre-trial investigation continues.
