On Friday, October 11, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleg Proskuryakov and the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledyda attended an open lesson on ecology in Uzhgorod school number 6, the press center of the Regional State Administration reported.
At the beginning of the school year, Uzhgorod school number 6 received modern equipment for the implementation of the pilot project "Green Class". So, today, the school students had the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge to the chief "environmentalist" of the country.
In addition, the Head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported that in all Transcarpathian schools they will put special containers for collection of waste batteries. The Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Oleg Proskuryakov noted that such projects have already been launched in Ukraine: "At each point of sale of one of the mobile operators, there will be a special "box" so that batteries could be collected separately and sent for disposal.Without any harm to the environment."
