Tomorrow, January 17, at 15.00 a traditional Christmas meeting of the leadership of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic diocese with journalists will be held at the episcopal residence in Uzhgorod.
The Diocesan’s leader, Bishop Milan, will summarize the activities of the diocese over the past year and tell about plans for this year.
Also, the Mykhailo Luchkay Award for books and research on the spirituality and history of Transcarpathia will be presented. The Award of the Mukachevo Greek Catholic Diocese was founded in 2013 and is awarded every two years. The laureates of the M.Luchkay Award have been the researchers of local lore Mykhailo Syrokhman, Ludwig Filip, Mykhailo Pryimych, Oleksandr Havrosh.
The Christmas mood of the meeting will be provided by a choir from the village of Dubrivka, Uzhgorod district and informal chat over a cup of coffee.
