At the department of the Border Guard Service "Uzhgorod", representatives of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, the State Border Guard Service, the State Fiscal Service, travel agencies, representatives of economic development and trade, and a representative of the Operation Department of the Road Service gathered at the table. The main objective of the meeting was the preparation for the summer tourist season. Also, they were considering how to speed up border control operations and reduce waiting time at the border during border and customs formalities.

Summer tourist season is just around the corner, so to speed up the procedure of border control for tourist groups, representatives of the Customs and Border Guard Services advise tour operators to take into account the possibility of prior notification about planned border crossing.
