The celebration of the anniversary of well-known regional writer, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Vasyl Husti took place in the crowded reading room of the Regional Library.
"Royal word of the poet" was the title of the literary event. Indeed, the poet has many truly "royal" features of character. Those are wisdom, spirituality, nobility and some special sense of responsibility to the past and the future.
The poet masterfully embodied his talent in the collections of landscape, intimate, philosophical lyrics, poems-reflections on the historical, religious topics. Vasyl Husti is noted as a writer, playwright, translator, essayist. His activity as the chairman of the regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine allowed to implement a number of important cultural and educational projects, including a variety of literary events – from youth competitions to meetings with renowned domestic and foreign writers as well as publication of books, including anthologies of contemporary writers and works of forgotten authors.
The hero of the day heard many sincere congratulations from representatives of creative and scientific intelligentsia, Transcarpathian authorities. Recall that on his birthday, March 21, Vasyl Husti received the highest in the region common award of the Regional State Administration and Regional Council – the medal "For development of Transcarpathia".
