On Saturday, October 4, there was the official presentation of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal.
The ceremony was held in the assembly hall of the Regional State Administration with the participation of the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Igor Hryniv. Congratulating Transcarpathians and the new head of the region, the President’s representative said: "We live in a time when society has changed and begun to control the government. And the government should be aware of that and be ready for these challenges, for cooperation with the community, which sets new tasks for it."
Speaking to the audience – the deputies of regional and local councils, heads of regional organizations, representatives of the public – the head of the RSA Vasyl Hubal said: "I am aware of the tasks set for me by the community, as well as the President, I will work to justify the trust." The head of the region thanked those countrymen who are defending our country, and said, "I bow my head to those who are no longer with us."
The Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha said that now that the administration and the council work together, Transcarpathia will show an example how to manage the region.
At the press conference, which the head of the Regional State Administration Vasyl Hubal participated in together with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Igor Hryniv and the Transcarpathian Regional Council chairman Ivan Baloha, they talked about national affairs and the problems of the region. Answering journalists’ questions about changes in the country, Igor Hryniv stressed on decentralization of power: "This process in Ukraine is inevitable. It is only a matter of time when the reform of decentralization will take place. Definitely, it will take place before local government elections – electing their representatives, people will already know their responsibilities." They also talked about energy saving, national security, Ukrainian currency etc.
