Transcarpathian Regional State Administration has repeatedly raised the issue of the need to reduce the cost of import of used cars. This decision can be taken only at the level of the central government.
Since the beginning of the year, the head of the RSA Hennadiy Moskal has sent several letters to the Government of Ukraine to consider the matter urgently. On April 7 this year, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and the State Fiscal Service were instructed to prepare a draft law on complete abolition of import duties on used cars other than those originating in the Russian Federation. The prepared bill will be considered by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
– Complete abolition of duties on used by car will allow to partially relieve the tension with the owners of cars with foreign registration, – H. Moskal said. – We hope that the newly formed majority in the Parliament will not shelf the bill, and will quickly vote for it.
