The funeral of Volodymyr Fedynyshynets will be held tomorrow

The funeral service for the writer Volodymyr Fedynyshynets will be held tomorrow, October 5, at 14:00 in the premises of the regional organization of the Union of Writers (Zhupanatska Square). This was announced by the son of the writer – Mykhailo.

The writers of Transcarpathia are expressing their condolences about the death of the well-known writer, a member of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine

"His creative heritage is rich and varied. It includes more than 70 publications…. In the 1960-80’s, the writer was especially active in the field of literary criticism. He also worked as a translator. His works were also translated into Belarusian, Hungarian, Czech, Slovak, Ukrainian, Russian.

Volodymyr Fedynyshynets was awarded with the International Oleksandr Dukhnovich Prize and the Fedir Potushnyak Prize.

The memory of this man will remain among us and in the hearts of his readers of the present and future generations. May he rest in peace!"
