Today is the last day of the XVII festival of ethnic theaters of national minorities of Ukraine, CIS and the Carpathian Euroregion "Ethno-Dia-Sphere", which lasted from May 20, the Department of Culture of the RSA informs.
During the week, the festival hosts and their colleagues from the Regional Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater and the Academic Puppet Theater "Bavka" were performing on the stage of the Transcarpathian Regional Theater of Drama and Comedy. The guests of the festival were Kolomyia Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre, Lviv Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre, Kyiv Mohyla Theatrical Center "Pasika", Kyiv Academic Youth Theater, Kyiv New Ukrainian Theater, and the M.Zankovetska National Academic Ukrainian Drama Theatre, whose production will solemnly close this year’s festival.
So, May 28 at 19.00, in the hall of the Regional Drama and Comedy Theater, they will present the play "Katerina" based on the poem by Shevchenko.
It is a special story of a special woman who was looking for amazing treasures, and found heavy burden.
Overall, during its existence, the festival "Ethno-Dia-Sphere" has gained significant popularity and is deservedly considered one of the theatrical highlights of not only Transcarpathia, but the whole Ukraine. The organizers are proud that in previous years, about 30 companies from different countries have presented over 150 diverse performances for more than 50 thousand audience and assure that this is not the limit.
