The festival “Berlybash Banush” will take place in Transcarpathia (Announcement)

Cliffs, "sponsor" cow and hundreds liters of banush will be presented at this year’s festival "Berlybash Banush".

On May 15, the IX Hutsul Festival "Berlybash Banush" will be held in the village of Kostylivka in Rakhiv district.

This year, the festival plans to impress guests with an original program. For the first time, there will be the presentation of the village tourist attraction – Strimchaky cliffs. And the highlight of the festival will be the meeting with Berlybashka. It is the name of the bcow, which is the "founder" and "sponsor" of the festival, as banush at the festival is cooked exclusively with cream made of her milk.

Traditionally, there will be a solemn Hutsul procession in Kostylivka, kindling of a bonfire, Hutsul banush cooking contest. Everyone will be able to find an original souvenir at the fair of Hutsul products made by local craftsmen and to taste cheese and various traditional Hutsul dishes.  The program also includes fun contests and competitions, performances of local groups.
