Today, Ukraine will chose the song and the performer to represent the country at the Eurovision-2016. The competition has many times aroused the critics of aesthetes and snobs. Nevertheless, the victory at the competition remains a cherished dream for many, even popular singers.
As it is known, six performers will perform today in the final. There is a song among them which is in some way connected with our land. As we have already reported, the author of the song ‘1944’ by Jamala is our countryman Art Antonia. "Once I have made a wish: I want to sing! Now, I sing. I sing with the beautiful voice of Jamala. I am glad that she told me about her idea about the song last year; that she asked me to right the English lyrics of the song to this beautiful melody", – shares his impressions the author to remind us that the fate of the song depends on the spectators.
The chosen song will represent Ukraine at the song contest after a year’s pause (our country did not participate last year). Thus, the programme will be broadcasted at 19:00 (7:00 p.m.) on ‘STB’ and ‘1 Natsionalnyi’. Jamala performs under number 4.
