The documentary exhibition “War for Peace” is going to the “Days of Ukraine in Kosice”

On February 16, 2016, at 16.30, in Kosice, at the initiative of the NGO "Center of the Slovak-Ukrainian Partnership", NGO "Transcarpathian Community" and the Office of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union in the city of Uzhgorod, there will be the grand opening of the international documentary exhibition "War for Peace".

The following officials will be present at the opening of the exhibition:

  • the Chairman of the association "Slovak-Ukrainian Center for Partnership" – Eduard Bulyna;
  • the Coordinator of the UHHRU Office in Uzhgorod – Boris Kondratiuk;
  • participant of the war in eastern Ukraine, representative of the NGO "Transcarpathian Community" – Andriy Tkachuk;
  • volunteer of the Carpathian Sich, artist and guitarist of the band "Chalamada" – Vasyl Polazhynets.

The purpose of the photo exhibition is educational and information activities aimed at bringing objective information about the events in eastern Ukraine, recording of violations of international humanitarian law and human rights commited by the Russian Federation.

 The works cover the period from the beginning of the war to the present days. Four photographers, risking their lives, were tsking the photos during a year. Authors: Alla Fedorchenko, Miroslav Mysla, Irina Tsvila and Victoria Pryshutova.

The exhibition will run until April 30.
