The Day of Elderly People will be celebrated in the region

The Day of Elderly People and the Veterans Day will be celebrated on October 1. On this occasion, a number of events will be organized in the region.

In particular, there will be a meeting of the heads of state administrations and local authorities with elderly citizens, veterans of war, labor, military service,

heroes of socialist labor, children of war, representatives of public veteran organizations. Local authorities will be instructed to examine material and everyday living conditions of veterans, lone elderly citizens, involving representatives of veteran organizations, to provide them with necessary assistance.

Also heads of the district state administrations and mayors will be instructed to conduct work on engaging heads of enterprises, institutions and organizations, charities and sponsors to active participation in assisting elderly citizens and veterans.
