The City Council prolonged the land moratorium

Today, at the scandalous meeting of the City Council, where they adopted several controversial land decisions, in particular, on the sale of the land beneath the "Uzhgorod" cinema, they prolonged… the moratorium on the allocation of land plots for individual construction until January 1, 2014.

And after the plenary session (the mayor closed the regular session, so next time the deputies will be convened not so suddenly), the Mayor explained what that prolongation of the moratorium means. "That means that for two and a half years we can not find enough land to meet the needs of Uzhgorod residents eligible for allocation of land. This does not mean that they have the right on allocation of the land in the city – like we once allocated land in Hlyboke, Kamyanytsya, Orikhovytsya and so on, but we can not agree with the district. I hope that common sense will prevail and the district will provide 200, 300, and, perhaps, 400 hectares", – Victor Pogorelov said.
