The case of the murder of a border guard in Transcarpathia was transferred to another court (PHOTOS)

The case of the murder of border guard Vadym Berezensky was heard today in the Tyachiv District Court. 
Consideration of the case was transferred from the Rakhiv District Court due to the impossibility to form a panel to hear the proceedings. Therefore, the hearing started from the beginning. Vadym’s parents, sister and wife were present at the trial. 
Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment also came to support the family of their colleague. 
Recall that the defiant murder of the chief of border guard service department "Dilove" took place in November, 2018. Smuggler Ivan Mahey ran over the border guard and fled the scene. The murderer faces imprisonment for a term of 9 to 15 years, or life imprisonment. 
Today, the court completed the preparatory proceedings and scheduled the next hearing in the case for 15.30 on October 2, 2020. In addition, today they imposed on Ivan Mahey a pre-trial restraint in the form of detention for a period of 60 days without the right to make a deposit.
