The bulk of the budget of Uzhgorod consists of the taxes paid by its residents

In January-October 2019, UAH 786 million of taxes and fees was paid into the general fund of the budget of Uzhgorod, the increase of revenues to the general fund in comparison with January – October 2018 amounted to UAH 122.4 million, the Department of Finance and Budget Policy of Uzhgorod City Council reported.

The most important source of revenues to the city budget is the personal income tax – UAH 502.6 million. Also, 201.6 million UAH of local taxes and fees was paid to the city budget (property tax, tourist tax, single tax), UAH 17.4 million was paid for administrative services, UAH 30.4 million of excise tax on the retail trade of excisable goods and UAH 25.7 million of excise tax on excisable goods (fuel) imported into the customs territory of Ukraine and produced in Ukraine.
