On January 1, 2016, the official ban that was imposed by FIFA on Uzhgorod "Goverla" to carry out any transfer activity came into force. This was reported by Romanian lawyer Josep who represents former player of the Transcarpathian team Marius Niculae in an interview to the Footboom.
– This trial has been going on for quite some time. "Goverla" had an opportunity to pay the player until December 31 this year. On January 1, sanctions will come into force. Uzhgorod club filed suit in Lausanne and requested to suspend the sanctions until the decision of the Lausanne court, but they were refused. Now we can say for sure that the sanctions will come into force on January 1.
"Goverla" will not be able to enter the transfer market for a year. The next two transfer windows will be banned for it. In case of non-compliance with the sanctions and further non-performance of their obligations it is likely that "Goverla" will be deprived of the opportunity to participate in all Ukrainian football competitions under the auspices of the FIFA, – the lawyer said.
