The monument to the outstanding Ukrainian Taras Shevchenko will be opened in the capital of the Carpathian Ukraine on June 27. The monument to famous poet and the artist will be opened in the city center at 11a.m.
There are monuments to Taras Shevchenko in Uzhgorod, Velykyi Bereznyi, Tiachiv, Rakhiv, Siltse and busts in Mukachevo and Beregovo. Writers from Uzhgorod will arrive at tomorrow’s ceremony, informed a head of the National Union of Writers Vasyl Husti.
