"We have received information that in the regions, where the recruitment to the patrol police of Ukraine is taking place, there are rumors that persons applying to the patrol police will be served calls to the ATO. This is not true," – journalist, MP, Coordinator of the formation of the Patrol police in Transcarpathia Mustafa Nayem wrote on his page on facebook.
"Recruitment of policemen and conscription are different processes, which are carried out by different agencies: the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine respectively. No law, or regulation, or internal instructions of the MIA and MoD provides for any overlapping of the recruitment to the new police and conscription or sharing of databases information.
At the same time, it should be noted the applying to the police, as well as further service in the police does not relieve a citizen of Ukraine from obligation to defend the country. If necessary, both candidates, and future police officers may be called up on a common basis or as part of the national police unit. In other words, anyone can receive a call, regardless of whether they have submitted documents to the new police or not. It is an independent process controlled by military commissariats, and it has nothing to do with recruitment to the police. So, please, do not succumb to provocations and do not spread unverified information", – Mustafa wrote.
