Summary of this year’s admission campaign in UzhNU

The main stage of this year’s enrollment of students to Uzhgorod National University finished last week. Preliminary analysis of the admission campaign 2016 indicates that as of today, August 18, more students have been enrolled for full-time education than that in the last year at the end of the admission campaign (1803 this year and 1792 in 2015).

Traditionally, the number of foreign students is growing. According to our estimates, more than 200 freshmen from other countries will join the ranks of students of Uzhgorod National University. In addition to the specialty "Medicine", this year foreigners enter for the specialties of "Dentistry", "International Economic Relations", "Computer Engineering", "Business Economics". Admission of foreigners will continue until November 1.

Thus, despite the reduction in the number of school graduates in the region, low level of their training, further increasing competition between Ukrainian and foreign universities, the preliminary results of this year’s ongoing admission campaign in general are successful for Uzhgorod National University.
