Students will not have to attend classes

Already this year, UzhNU plans to introduce e-learning and help all teachers without exception to use modern information and communication technologies. The program for introduction of innovative technologies in the educational and administrative activities of UzhNU was presented at the meeting of the Academic Council.

According to Oleksandr Dubiv, the Acting Director of the Training and Research Institute of ICT of UzhNU, it will be the introduction of electronic forms of training in conjunction with the internal and external forms. "This is not a complete electronic form that provides the level of active communication between teachers and students, but we will lay the first level. Teachers will be able to post lectures, other publications on a special Moodle platform, where students will have access to documents. This platform is not a new technology, it is used in many universities of Ukraine and abroad (in more than 170 countries).

The initiators of e-learning point out that the innovation can be useful in cases where classes may be cancelled in winter. In the future, it may be a real basis for the implementation of distance learning. Such are the demands of the modern technological world.

For teachers who are not always familiar with the IT technology, experts of the Institute provided a special 24-hour course of training. There will be two levels: even those, who can not start the computer or avoid technology, will be learning.
