“Stankovych fest” will be discovering new talents in Transcarpathia (Announcement)

A unique music festival will take place in Svalyava district for the second time.
The large festival of classical music and art will once again take place in Transcarpathia this year. From February 21 to 25, the II International Contest-Festival of Arts "Stankovych fest" will be held at the Kvitka Poloniny and Polyana sanatoriums in Svalyava district. It’s goal is to find and support talented children and gifted youth, improve the skills of students of musical, art schools and the exchange of creative achievements.

Famous cultural figures from our country, as well as Canada, Slovakia, Hungary, Belarus, Romania and China, were invited to the jury, which will be headed by the People’s Artist of Ukraine, world-renowned composer Yevhen Stankovych.

The contest-festival will be held in the nominations for "music and fine arts", as well as "young composer" in several age categories. Individual performers, ensembles and large groups will be performing at the contest.

The festival is scheduled to open on February 21 with the concert of the jury members. The solemn awarding ceremony and gala concert of the winners will take place in Svalyava District House of Culture.
