Several Transcarpathian websites published news that the candidate to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Volodymyr Smolanka allegedly withdrew his candidacy from the race.
The candidate commented that information.
"This is absolutely not true – says neurosurgeon, director of Neurosurgery and Neurology Center professor V.Smolanka. – Without a doubt, this information was published to sow doubts about the sincerity of my intentions as a candidate to the Parliament. Obviously, this is a provocation of my opponents, picked up by other sites. I intend to go through and continue the election campaign and meet with voters."
