Experts of the gas transmission system operator in Slovakia – the company Eustream – have completed preparations for reverse supply of fuel to Ukraine.
This was reported to the "RIA Novosti" on Tuesday by an official representative of Eustream Vagram Chugurian.
"We are ready to start on September 1 reverse gas supplies to Ukraine from Central Europe in the control mode, which provides for the supply of about three billion cubic meters per year" – Chugurian said.
According to him, starting March 1, 2015, the pipeline will be able to supply at maximum capacity of 10 billion cubic meters per year.
The representative of Eustream reminded that during the Open Season procedure, several European companies had provided binding applications for gas pumping through this pipeline.
Experts of the Eustream, over the last three months, have performed a comprehensive review of technical state of Uzhgorod-Voyany gas pipeline built 15 years ago and works for the construction of an additional 400 meter long pipeline to the Ukrainian border.
