Slovak gas transmission system operator Eustream initiated the "Open Season" procedure, during which they will be accepting applications for the use of additional capacity of the "Vojany-Uzhgorod" pipeline in the amount of 8.5 million cubic meters of gas per day.
It is said in the company’s statement.
"The Eustream announces the "Open Season" procedure to increase the capacity at the "Budince" GMS, in order to make use of this potential transparently. The Eustream provides additional capacity of the pipeline in amount of 8.5 million cubic meters of gas per day in response to the technical measures taken by the Ukrainian party," – the statement says.
The said additional capacity will be available from March 1, 2015.
According to the report, the applications for the use of additional capacity will be accepted until February 5.
As reported, Ukraine expected to increase imports of natural gas through Slovakia to 40 million cubic meters of gas per day since December 15.
September 1, 2014, Ukraine began commercial reverse supply of natural gas from Slovakia through "Vojany-Uzhgorod" pipeline.
