Rules of conduct during the celebration of Independence Day of Ukraine (Infographic)

The State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region appeals to residents and visitors of the region with a request to take care of your own safety during the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine. Remember, danger can arise at every turn!

If you are in a crowd:

In general, now matter how much you want to see an event, it is better to avoid large crowds. If you are caught in the crowd anyway, let it "carry" you from the center to the edges and gradually get out of it. Take a deep breath and spread your arms bent at the elbows to prevent crushing of the chest. Do not go near windows, walls, glass doors, metal fences, which you can be pressed against and suffocate. If there are children with you, hold them by the hands firmly or carry them if they are very small. The main task in the crowd is not to fall. If you dropped anything, never try to pick it up – your life is more important. If you are knocked down, take the pose of the embryo – curl up, push your chin to your chest, knees to the head, cover your head with arms. Try to get up at the earliest opportunity.

If you see a suspicious object that can be explosive:

If you found "nobody’s" things, do not touch them, no matter how attractive they look. It is worth remembering: the appearance of the object can hide its true purpose. Do not do anything with it yourself, and as soon as possible notify professionals by phones "101" or "102".  Before their arrival, try to do everything possible to keep people away from the dangerous object.

If you decide to spend your holidays out of town:

To avoid damaging the environment, follow the simple rules of fire safety. When on a picnic in the forest, make fire only in designated areas without using flammable substances. Do not throw burning matches or cigarette butts on the ground, and do not go far from the fire. Before returning home, pour water or dirt on the fire.
