“Rose under the sakura”. The wine of the flowering season was offered in the Uzhgorod castle (PHOTO-REPORT)

"Under the most beautiful sakura" was the description of the location of the original lecture, which took place in Uzhgorod on Friday, April 20. At the event "Rose under the sakura", the brand Chateau Chizay presented the wines from the limited series, made specifically for the most anticipated event of spring – the flowering of Japanese cherries.

  Well-known tourism expert Fedir Shandor and the manager and sommelier of the Chateau Chizay Oleksandr Meresiy conducted a lecture about the Uzhgorod sakuras and the other main attraction of the region – winemaking.

The representative of the largest wine-making enterprise of the region told about the history of the enterprise and its main priorities, including the development of the brand of Transcarpathian wine in general as one of the tourist "magnets" and components of the region’s image. He also talked about the main aspects of the culture of wine consumption and, of course, about the wine Chateau Chizay.     

But the main focus of attention was, of course, the wine "Sakura of Transcarpathia" and its flowering inspiration – beautiful Japanese cherry trees in the ideal place for contemplation of this natural wonder.  Although the main hero of the evening was very delicate, soft rose wine from the limited series, during the final "voting", the opinions of the guests were divided: some of them preferred the white wine "Sakura of Transcarpathia" for the unique bouquet due to the special varieties of grapes grown on the hills of Beregovo district.

By the way, the next step from the winemaking brand, which will take place next weekend, on April 29 and 30, will be held in the immediate vicinity of these plantations: right on the territory of the enterprise in Beregovo. There, the Chateau Chizay will hold the Open Door Day, where they will not only treat guests to their wines, but also take them on a tour of the production facilities and the Museum of Viticulture and Winemaking, present themed cuisine and other entertainments. Details of the event are available on the social network page. And the mood and the pink magic of the event "Rose under the sakura" – in the photos.
