Residents of the destroyed houses in Bronka were promised compensation at the expense of the regional budget

Yesterday we reported that in the village of Bronka in Irshava district (Transcarpathia), because of ice jam, the river Krasna burst its banks and flooded several residential buildings.

This village was visited by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal. With the management of the district and the regional office of the State Emergencies Service, he examined the flooded households and social facilities, met with local residents and gave orders for speedy liquidation of consequences of the disaster.
Moskal stressed that the prime objective is to provide housing for the families whose homes collapsed. The people were offered two options – either to find similar homes at market price in Bronka or neighboring villages, and the RSA will buy them at the expense of the regional budget, or those families will be granted financial assistance for the construction of new houses in the old place.

In addition to private houses, the kindergarten in Bronka was flooded. There was up to half a meter of water in the rooms, so they will have to completely replace the floor and buy new furniture. By the decision of the RSA head, the necessary funding will be allocated either from the regional budget, or from the Ukrainian-Czech charity fund "VIZA".
