Repast for pigs

January 26 was a black day for pigs of Berehovo dictrict. More than two dozens of them gave their lives during the contest of butchers in the village Gecha. In total 70 pigs went to death to feed the participants and guests of the festival.

Most of them we have seen already in the form of sausages, smoked bacon, hams and other products. But the main event of the meat festival is actually the butchery process, because Gecha is a competition butchers.

On the professional level of a butched depends not only whether the animal woll suffer, but also the quality of meat. There was more than enough meat at the festival: the chefs repertoire included hurka and meals on fire with vegetables. This feastwas definitely not really interesting for vegetarians. The festival maintains the tradition of "commemoration of pig" – long time ago after the animal was killed and the carcass cut, the pig was memorized with a glass of something strong, and was thanked her for food.
