At the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office in Transcarpathian region, the staff voted that Major General Vasyl Vartsaba should remain the head of the office.
This was reported by Serhiy Rosokha, his first deputy and – since Vartsaba announced his resignation – the acting head of the office. The motivation is that during the revolutionary period, he kept peace and order in the region: there were no victims and massacres, and, as the staff said, they trust the head of the office.
As Oleksandr Skachko, the head of the Right Sector said before the announcement of the policemen’s decision, if the staff support Vartsaba, they will not object. This was said in the yesterday’s statement.
