The meeting at which the ‘Prykarpatzakhidtrans’ enterprise representatives, environmentalists, the regional administration specialized departments representatives discussed the situation resulting from the accident during the products pipeline repair on the main Velekyi Bereznyi highway was held by the first region deputy Ivan Bushko on Thursday, May 31, – informs RSA press center.
The representative of ‘Prykarpatzakhidtrans’ enterprise said that the repair works on the 299-kilometer product pipeline highway, which is located on the territory of Uzhok National Park, outside the village of Uzhok were conducted on Wednesday, may 30. The accident is happened during the oil products pumping. As a result, nearly 700 diesel fuel liters flowed out from the pipes. The petroleum leakage was quickly liquidated, so that it did not get into the local pond.
According to the experts, in order to liquidate the accident consequences, they will have to gather the upper layer of the soil covering nearly 80 m². It will be moved to one of the region brick plants, where it will be used in the brick production. Currently the professional staff identifies the amount of damages.
Ivan Bushko instructed the environmental inspections and specialized administration to prepare the detailed information on the accident consequences, in order to provide the monitoring over the measures for liquidation of petroleum leakage consequences implementation and provide the losses reimbursement in full.
