Two attempts to give illegal benefit were stopped yesterday by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment. A 32-year-old Romanian citizen tried to bribe border guards with 20 euros. The foreigner intended to cross the border to leave Ukraine at the checkpoint "Luzhanka". In order not to stand in line, the man decided to offer a bribe to the border guards. Border guards flatly refused this offer. Another attempt to give an illegal benefit was recorded by border guards of the Mukachevo detachment at the checkpoint "Vylok". A 41-year-old Irish citizen offered a bribe to avoid self-isolation. Both crimes under Part 1 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code "Offer, promise or giving of illegal benefit to an official" were reported by border guards to the police.
