Red Wine Festival opens in Mukachevo (PHOTOS, VIDEO)

This year, the 25th wine festival began with a solemn procession of caroling and singing groups.
Colorful Transcarpathian carolers, the best caroling and nativity scene groups and participants of the festival walked across the city “Central” park to the main stage. The procession was headed by the Honored Academic Folk Choir.

On the stage, the guests of the anniversary festival were greeted by the mayor of Mukachevo. The head of the city wished them to have a good time, to taste Transcarpathian wines and different dishes and not only from the Transcarpathian cuisine. 
Forty winemakers will compete at the festival this year. All wines were made according to special original recipes, and a special commission will determine the winner. The commission has already selected for tasting more than 80 wine varieties offered by local winemakers.

In the festival town, a dozen and a half food courts were opened. During five days, carols and songs of famous bands will be performed on the stage, in particular, the bands "Brevis" and "Rock-H" will perform for the guests of the festival.
