Rakhiv district will be a separate administrative-territorial unit

People’s deputies and experts were working on the government’s resolution on the division of Ukraine into districts for two days 
“Our position was unequivocal – Rakhiv district is mountainous and, in accordance with European practices and Ukrainian methods of designing districts, should be a separate administrative-territorial unit.
The arguments of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration were accepted by both the government and the Verkhovna Rada committee. 
Therefore, I would advise not to speculate on such an important topic as administrative-territorial reform. Further effective and successful development of the region and the country as a whole depends on this reform,” – Oleksiy Petrov, the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration said.
