The State Affairs Department’s Fleet of cars has been enlarged with 4-armored Mercedes-Benzes S-600 which were transferred by the Customs in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers directive. The cost of the confiscated cars is from 350 thousand up to 500 thousand dollars each. The text of the relevant resolution the number of which is 237-r from April 2, which was not accorded broad publicity and was classified as ‘information with restricted access’, is available to DT.
By the way, the Cabinet of Ministers secretariat rejected to show the order on the request of the edition, explaining its decision that the order belongs to the information with restricted access category.
Commenting on the response of the official institutions, the Mass Media Institute attorney Roman Golovenko noted that the Cabinet of Minister constantly violates the requirements of Part 2, Article 15 of the Law ‘On Access to Public Information’ does not publish the majority of adopted acts. In addition, said the lawyer, the Cabinet of Ministers must explain to which of the subcategories belongs the document with restricted access and why. If there is the service information in the disposal, it shall be published with the relevant bills.
