Presentation for those who understand

On April 18, at 18.00, in the Ilko Gallery, there will be the presentation of the art-book by artist Andriy Khir "Superstition." 
 
 The book was the starting point for the eponymous exhibition project that presents the author’s interpretation of ethnographic works of Ukrainian researchers V. Hnatiuk, A. Onischuk and V. Shukhevich.
 
 "The logic of stories described in these works is often different from realistic and rational one – the author says. – It may be appropriate to use the term "folk metaphysics" as often illogical and irrational history stories present holistic cosmogonic concepts that specifically explain the universe, have a clear structure, complex hierarchy and classification of mythical creatures." In the art-book, as well as in the exhibition project, the artist used the method of associative narrative visualization of texts.
