Policemen detained a resident of Mukachevo for an attack on a girl

At the intersection of Gotwald-Kyivska streets in Mukachevo, a 42-year-old resident of Mukachevo attacked a 20-year-old girl, and took from her a purse with a wallet and personal belongings. The police detained the suspect and opened a criminal proceeding

In the evening, around 20.00, at an intersection of the Gotwald-Kyivska streets, an unknown man came up to a woman, hit her several times, snatched her purse and ran away.

Officers of the Mukachevo police department, having checked several versions on the identity of the attacker, found the suspect. It was a 42-year-old resident of Mukachevo previously convicted for violent and property crimes. During the pre-trial investigation, the police found out that the man had approached the girl, punched her four times in the face, and then stole her handbag with personal belongings.

The investigator of the Mukachevo Department is conducting an investigation over the robbery under Part 2 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The man was notified of being suspected, and the court imposed on him a pre-trial restraint in the form of house arrest. The pre-trial investigation in the case continues.
