Police officers of the Uzhgorod department opened a criminal proceeding into derailing of two train cars

Today, on October 19, the police received a report that on Prykordonna street in Uzhgorod, the second and third cars had gone off the rails.The investigation team examined the train and found out that it was returning to the car depot. There are reasons to believe that derailing was due to poor road cover. The police opened a criminal proceeding over the incident under Part 1 of Art. 276 of the CCU, that is, violation of the rules of safety or operation of rail, water or air transport. Such an offense is punishable by corrective labor for a term of up to two years or a restraint of liberty for a term of up to three years.
