Every year, the preventive operation "Summer" is conducted in the country, which aims to prevent homelessness, crimes and negative symptoms among children.
"Safe holiday for children" was the slogan of the events held as part of a nationwide operation "Summer 2013" in the children’s camp "Trembita" located in the village of Tsyhanivka in Uzhgorod district, Transcarpathian region. Visiting the camp, criminal police officers of the Uzhgorod station of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine office at the Lviv railway, during a conversation with young people, talked about the danger posed by ignoring basic rules of conduct at the railway facilities, about mischief and silly deeds committed by their peers thus exposing themselves to danger. More than a hundred children were able to hear and learn the tips and requirements, which aim to save their lives and health.
– Police officers hold meetings with pupils of all, without exception, educational and training institutions to prevent child injuries and offenses at railway facilities. The goal of the preventive measures is to make summer break for children interesting, useful and most importantly safe for life – the detective of the police department at the Uzhgorod station, Senior Lieutenant Vitaliya Savynets said.
