People with infectious tuberculosis will be hospitalized compulsorily

Peolple with infectious tuberculosis that violate anti-epidemic regime may be forcibly taken to the hospitals which have departments (rooms) to accommodate such patients.This procedure is defined by the government order dated January 3, 2013 № 3 "On Amendments to the Order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated October 29, 2009 № 1285", reported Uryadovy Portal.
The statement on forced hospitalization or prolongation of forced hospitalization shall be filed with the court by a representative of the TB facility that provides treatment for this patient. The document must be submitted within 24 hours of the discovery of violation of epidemiological regime by the patient. 
In addition, the statement shall be supplemented with a reasoned opinion of the physician who performs or intends to perform the treatment of this patient, on the necessity of compulsory hospitalization in antituberculous institution or on the prolongation of compulsory hospitalization.
Forced hospitalization of TB patients, for which the court approved the decision, shall be based on the conclusion of the doctor for up to three months. And prolongation of forced hospitalization of patients shall be carried under the court decision for a specified period of time, taking into account the opinion of a doctor who treats the patient.
Failure to comply with the court’s decision on the forced hospitalization entails criminal liability according to the law.
